The test site in Vigo, Galicia is located in the northwestern part of Spain. It is about 60 km long and has motorway and highway roads with city entrances. The test site has been created by CTAG (Centro Tecnológico de Automoción de Galicia) and DGT (Dirección General de Tráfico, Spanish Ministry of Traffic) within the framework of the nationally funded project SISCOGA (SIStemas COoperativos Galicia) and is operated by CTAG and DGT.
It comprises a road network made up of motorways and highways with at least two lanes per direction, and up to three lanes on certain motorway sections. The general speed limit is 120 km/h, but lower speed limits are place in sections of the road network due to special characteristics, such as sharp curves or limited visibility.
It is planned to extend the test site to include urban driving scenarios.
